in the village of Metamora, which consists of less than one square mile. In the
township of Metamora, there are
4,184 in the entire 35 square mile township. The village is actually located

below the state and national averages. The region is at an elevation of 1,040
feet, with a challenging climate that results in constantly changing weather.

portion of which is in the form of snow.
Metamora’s early economy relied primarily on lumber and agriculture. Although
agriculture still plays a role in the current economy, manufacturing and retail

riding and water sports activities at Norway Lake in Lapeer. The
Seven
Ponds Nature Center is nearby in
Dryden.
